SGGG Substrate

SGGG (Ca Mg Zr doped gadolinium gallium garnet) crystal is an excellent substrate material for Bi Fe garnet epitaxial films. Gadolinium gallium garnet (GGG) substrate, one of the earlier developed garnet materials, can not be used as the substrate of high bismuth substituted iron garnet epitaxial layer because of its small lattice constant. Therefore, the SGGG crystals with Ca, Mg and Zr as substitution ions are more suitable for the epitaxial films.

OST Photonics offers high quality SGGG substrates for researchers and industries. Crystal size and thickness can be customized according to your requirements.
