LSO(Ce) Scintillator (LSO(Ce) Scintillation Crystal)
LSO(Ce) (Cerium-doped Lutetium Oxyorthosilicate) is a high-performance inorganic rare-earth scintillation crystal. It features a high density of 7.4 g/cm³, fast decay time of ~40 ns, and light yield of about 30,000 photons/MeV, offering excellent gamma stopping power and time resolution. Widely used in PET scanners, high-energy physics experiments, and radiation detection, it is one of the most mainstream advanced scintillation materials for modern detection systems.
OST Photonics offers custom supply of LSO(Ce) crystals, LSO(Ce) scintillation screens and LSO(Ce) arrays tailored to your requirements. We provide a diverse range of design solutions and reflector material options to optimize array performance, enabling our products to deliver high light output, outstanding detection uniformity and minimal optical crosstalk for your applications.

Scintillation Screen Design Options of LSO(Ce) Scintillators
Freestanding ultra-thin scintillation screen.
Ultra-thin scintillation screens can be coupled to a substrate with optical adhesives in order to achieve better optical readout.
Scintillation screens can be inserted into frames(Aluminum, Stainless steel) for easier manipulation.
We can provide customized markings such as a grid, cross, or scale on the surface of the screen for easier beam visualization.
We can provide various coating on the surface of the screen upon request, such as reflection coatings(Al, Au, Ag etc.), AR coating, diffusion painting(TiO2, Al2O3), and conductive coatings(Al, ITO, C).
