NaI(Tl) Scintillator (NaI(Tl) Scintillation Crystal)
Thallium-doped sodium iodide (NaI(Tl)) is one of the most widely used inorganic scintillation crystals. Doped with trace thallium as an activator, it features extremely high light yield (around 38,000 photons per MeV) and excellent detection efficiency for X-rays and gamma rays, with a maximum emission wavelength well matched to photomultiplier tubes. Though hygroscopic and requires hermetic packaging, it remains a preferred choice for gamma spectroscopy, nuclear medical imaging, security inspection and environmental radiation detection due to its reliable performance and low cost.
OST Photonics offers a full range of encapsulated NaI(Tl) scintillators, high-temperature NaI(Tl) scintillators and NaI(Tl) scintillation detectors, available in diverse designs and specifications to meet various application requirements.

High-Temperature NaI(Tl) Scintillators
For oil logging applications, NaI(TI) scintillator works underground, it must withstand high temperatures above 150℃, certain shock, and vibration. The high-temperature NaI(TI) scintillators are encapsulated from high-temperature forged NaI(Tl) polycrystals and special high-temperature resistant materials through reliable encapsulation technology. The working temperature range is from -30 ℃ to 175 ℃. It has excellent mechanical shock resistance, temperature shock resistance, and a long lifetime. The drilling NaI(Tl) scintillator can work at 175°C and 30g strong vibration.
