

YSO(Ce) Scintillator (YSO(Ce) Scintillation Crystal)
Cerium-doped yttrium orthosilicate (YSO:Ce) is a high-performance inorganic scintillation crystal with a density of 4.5 g/cm³ and a fast scintillation decay time of ~50–70 ns. It delivers a high light yield of around 10,000~2,8000 photons per MeV, with a main emission peak at 420 nm matching conventional photodetectors. YSO:Ce features outstanding radiation hardness, excellent thermal stability and non-hygroscopicity, maintaining stable performance in high-radiation environments. It is widely used for gamma-ray detection, positron emission tomography and high-energy particle physics experiments.

Scintillation Screen Design Options of YSO(Ce) Scintillators
Freestanding ultra-thin scintillation screen.
Ultra-thin scintillation screens can be coupled to a substrate with optical adhesives in order to achieve better optical readout.
Scintillation screens can be inserted into frames(Aluminum, Stainless steel) for easier manipulation.
We can provide customized marking such as a grid, cross or scale on the surface of the screen for easier beam visualization.
We can provide various of coating on the surface of the screen upon request, such as reflection coatings(Al, Au, Ag, etc.), AR coating, diffusion painting(TiO2, Al2O3), and conductive coatings(Al, ITO, C).
